After a grueling three day weekend the bathroom is progressing along nicely. Unfortunately Kate dropped the ball in her one department of responsibility, pictures. She claims her camera battery is dead and felt no urgency to get it replaced. Hopefully she can do it tonight and pictures can be posted by tomorrow. Currently the bathroom is waiting for its second coat of spackle. After spackling is complete it can be primed and painted, the wainscoating can be installed along with all of the trim and finally the flooring. If all goes as planned the bathroom will be complete by Friday night. Which means I'll be pulling striped bass out of the Atlantic on Saturday.
Phase one of the house renovation/baby prep project will be the demolition and reconstruction of the bathroom. For those of you who can picture Kate and I's bathroom you know how awful it is. So this weekend I will remove the floor, walls, and the ugly tile ceiling. Of course that's the easy part. I will attempt to put the room back together by Sunday evening. At least back to a working fashion. I'll post pictures later in the week of the bathroom's current sad state. And next week I'll post pictures from during and after the process.
This section of the blog is where we’ll provide updates to the changes we’re making around the house.

Before the baby is born we plan on updating our bathroom, kitchen, and converting our spare bedroom into a rock ‘n’ roll themed nursery (just kidding about the theme).
We’ll provide an overview of what exactly our plans are and from time to time we’ll ask for advice or suggestions from you, our blogging audience.
And of course we’ll share before, during, and after pictures of the whole process. The first room up for demolition and reconstruction is the bathroom. Hopefully we’ll get started Thanksgiving weekend.
